it’s my aunties and uncles 50th wedding anniversary this weekend, so i’m off to that. also going to see 2 sick monkeys play in what used to be one of the roughest pubs in aberaman, which should be fun
i’m having a lot of trouble lately getting going at doing anything. feeling a bit pissed off, a bit worried, a bit stressed. moving or finding somewhere to live, not knowing what’s going to happen, it’s all a bit unsettling
i suppose it could be a lot worse, and i’m not badly off in that i will always have a place to live should i move back to wales, and some very kind people have offered me a place , if all else fails, to stay for a while here, i’m better off than many thousands of people elsewhere in the world
this doesn’t escape the fact that i think i have the dreaded ‘block’, although i can’t see that being completely the case, since i have loads of projects i’d like to do, and lots of paintings planned
life is tough, then you stop whining and start getting on with things, innit?

when i look at other peoples work, when i look at their photographs in particular, i don’t think about the person standing behind the camera, i see the image, so i forget that there is a person bringing this image to me.
anyway, on another note, my projects for the next year include, properly learning italian – while i can speak italian – after a fashion – and understand italian, i’m too scared to speak it in public, in case i get things wrong
